We created our Mystic Monk Coffee Blend in 2007. And it’s been one of our most popular coffee sellers ever since.

Our coffee-roasting aficionado, whom we’ve aptly named Brother Java, had the mission of creating coffee sample options for the other monks to try when we first launched Mystic Monk Coffee. Roasting on the cast iron pan, he knew he stumbled on magnificence when he sipped what would soon become our first in-house blend.

Our house blend consists of Arabica coffee and other beans from across every region of the globe, including Sumatra, which gives the blend its distinctive earthy quality and notes of spice.

We’ll never know whether it was a stroke of genius or divine inspiration. But we do know this perfectly balanced blend has become a favorite among our customers' and our monastery's coffee options.

You’ll love the monks’ house blend Arabica coffee if you’re on a mission to find a well-balanced blend with low acidity. Every sip gives you a nice balance of earth, wood, and spice. We dark roast the coffee beans, so unlike a medium roast or light roast coffee that features a lighter color, our house blend is a richly dark brew with a fairly robust flavor.

House Blend Ground Coffee

We use a universal grind setting to create our ground coffees, so you can make our house blend roast on any brewing equipment. The grinds are extremely uniform and can be used with a French press, pour-over coffee, an automatic drip machine, an Aeropress, or any other equipment.

Our coffee stays fresh longer because we use a machine that creates a low-oxygen seal when packaging. You can store our coffee for up to two weeks in an airtight container away from heat and light exposure without losing that fresh coffee taste.

House Blend Whole Beans

Our monks' house blend whole beans are a deep mahogany color with an oily texture. The oil comes from the coffee beans and is a natural part of the roasting process when creating dark roasts.

As with our bags of ground house blend, you can expect your whole-bean coffee to last up to two weeks after opening. Because we seal the beans without oxygen, you’ll also get a burst or aroma when opening the bag.

The monks’ house blend is great for coffee drinkers who prefer complex flavors. With four coffee beans from prized coffee-growing regions, you’ll get a kaleidoscope of flavor in every sip.
